How do I get my memory back?

I know the title sounds like a low budget Jackie Chan movie, but I'm confused.

I had Ubuntu installed on my Windows 8 machine via VB, and I 'removed' it by right-clicking on the VM in the menu of VB and selecting remove.

However, the memory is still missing from my SSD, I still have 10 or more GB unaccounted for. If it helps I think I selected 'dynamic' allocation of memory when I installed it.

Thanks in advance.

I have deled your cross-posting, being on a OSX host when you have a Windows one...

Go into the folder where the VMs are located (there should be a Virtualbox VMs folder in your home directory), you'll find your VM folder and should be able to delete it.

... and next time you remove a VM, answer "Yes" when it asks you if you want to delete the physical files, in addition to removing it from the menu.
