I apologize in advance if this question has been answered before, I have found similar errors searching the forums, but not my same situation.
I have a new Windows 8 systems with Virtual Box installed. I am trying to configure a new Windows 7 VM with the installation source CD in my CD drive. I have mapped the drive to IDE secondary master on the VM. When I try to boot the system to install Windows 7, I get the following error:
Failed to open a session for the virtual machine WINDOWS7. Cannot open host device 'E:\' for readonly access. Check the permissions of that device (VERR_ACCESS_DENIED).
Details:
Result Code:

Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks in advance.

Re: VERR_ACCESS_DENIED on Win 8 Host
It's usually more reliably to make an ISO image of the CD/DVD and mount that in the VM instead.
