VirtualBox random shutdowns

Post by OldSchool »

VB shuts down while running XP guest on Windows 8 host. Does this while running Visual Basic 6.0. Never did this before.
Started this behaviour after a Java 7 update. Could this be the problem? If so, any suggestions?
Much thanks.

Post the guests log file (as an attachment)
See Online Users Manual for the location of the file.

Code: Select all

00:00:00.665138 IOAPIC <integer> = 0x0000000000000001 (1)
00:00:00.803253 HWACCM: No VT-x or AMD-V CPU extension found. Reason VERR_VMX_MSR_LOCKED_OR_DISABLED
Assuming this is a 32 bit XP you don't need IOAPIC but you shouldn't try to change that now. Enabling VT-x in the hosts bios will help you though.
