Save state error and Copying error

Post by phthanh85 »

There are 2 errors in VirtualBox:
1. Sometimes when I close the virtual machine and choose "Save the machine state", it would progress to 100% and is stuck there forever. It could not save the machine state.
2. Sometimes after resuming successfully from a saved state, it lost the ability to copy texts from the virtual machine to the host and vice versa.

I experienced these 2 errors many times in many versions of VirtualBox. Hope it would be fixed in the next releases.

I'm sure your suggestion might go further if you provide details such as the VirtualBox version you are referring to, details of your host and guest, maybe provide a VM log file, or even a way to reproduce the problem.

mpack,

I don't know why I can't access my account so I created this account. I'll provide more info:
- VirtualBox version I am using: VirtualBox-4.2.16-86992
- Host (physical): Windows 7 64 bit
- Guest (VM): Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2
- Cannot reproduce because those 2 errors just happened several times (about 1 out of 10 or 20 times, I guess)

Log file for the day (and the moment it stuck when saving):
(sorry I have to cut out some text in the middle because it's too long)

Partial and truncated (pasted) log deleted by moderator.

Reason: Incomplete pasted log wasting space.

Provide log files as .zip attachments (see the "Upload attachment" tab on the reply dialog), do not paste text. I have deleted the partial log file you pasted.

I'm sorry but actually I looked everywhere but couldn't find the "Upload attachment" tab. Only found the Options tab with Disable BBCode, Disable smilies,... options.
Could you please show me clearly how to attach files?
Thanks.

But I can only see the Options tab (see this image: http://postimg.org/image/56h9lt68z/)
Do you know what's the problem with my account?

Thanks.

Sorry, no, I don't admin the site. I suppose it's possible that attachments are disabled deliberately in the Suggestions forum - except for mods which would be why I still see it.

Move this topic out of suggestions and the attachment tab will appear.
This changed with the latest update of phpBB.
