[Solved] USB device (gamepad) greyed out, can't be selected.

This is a post that maybe can help others with a similar situation. Also, I'm not sure if it is MacOSX only (in fact I'm pretty sure it isn't).
I got a new gamepad (Digital Element GM-200, with a PS2-to-USB converter GM-001A). I added the USB filter with values filled automatically from VBox's "Add a new USB filter ... ":
Then after reading a post about adding a "catch-all" filter (new filter with empty values), and successfully capturing the device in question, I started removing various parameters from my original filter until it worked. After trial and error, it turned out that the problem was in the "Product" value. If it was left as automatically detected from VBox, it would NOT work. If removed all together, it worked OK.
So, if your device is shown as greyed out and unavailable, try to remove some of the parameters. As the manual says, start with the VendorID, and if that works, work your way towards more specific filters. Remember, ALL OF THE VALUES have to MATCH in order for VBox to capture the device.

For some reason or another it would NOT be available on the guests. Plugging and unplugging, starting and stopping, nothing would work, the device was greyed out.Name : USB Gamepad Vendor ID : 0810 Product ID : 003 Revision : 0106 Product : USB Gamepad
