networking problem

Post by f4 »

Hi,

I have this:

Host machine: Windows 7
Guest machine: Ubuntu 12.04 on Virtualbox 3.1.8

I need a network settings such that there's both host-guest communication and guest internet access.
On the guest I've chosen "NAT" network adapter and the guest receives the Virtualbox default IP 10.0.2.15. The guest can access internet but the problem is that the host cannot reach the guest since the host doesn't know where 10.0.2.15 is.

How can I fulfill the host-guest communication ?

Add an extra interface to the VM in Host-Only mode. See Chapter 6 of the User Manual
