Overall performance decreased after installing VirtualBox

First of all , hello to the whole community of virtualbox
Second , today I installed virtualbox to try run Mac OS X on it , but after I installed it , my computer was running very slow , even the web browser took a while to load , folders , whole Windows was "lagging" . Maybe it was just me seeing things , but know , i uninstalled it and it went back to normal , so my question is , was it really my imagination , or can virtualbox slow the PC performance ?

VirtualBox does not slow the host down if nothing VirtualBox is being used. Plus you can not run Mac on anything but a Mac PC.
