VM's are either XP or Win 7 64 Bit.
Yesterday I did the VirutalBox upgrade, then ran each of the 4 guests and upgraded the extensions.
Once this was done, I ran windows update on all the guests with zero problems.
Some required multiple reboots.

Today, when i try to fire up my VM's I get this under Settings:

Result Code:
NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x00004005)
Component:
Host
Interface:
IHost {30678943-32df-4830-b413-931b25ac86a0}
Callee:
IMachine {22781af3-1c96-4126-9edf-67a020e0e858}

On the settings windows I have a red circle with a white exclamation point that states:
Non-optimal settings detected.

If I click run I get:

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine Win SIFT Workstation.

The virtual machine 'Win SIFT Workstation' has terminated unexpectedly during startup with exit code 1.

Result Code: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)
Component: Machine
Interface: IMachine {22781af3-1c96-4126-9edf-67a020e0e858}

When I close the VirtualBox window, hidden behind it was this popup screen that stated:
"Kernel Driver no installed (rc==-1908)
Make sure the kernel module has been loaded successfully."

I would 'guess that this refers to something on MAC OS X not being loaded. I'll dig now that I saw this. (Found after originally posting)

I read some posts where this problem has occurred in previous years after upgrading VB.
The problem for them was that an inf file needed to be reinstalled which they did.
Of course, If I can't boot the Guest OS, I am fairly certain i can't follow the instructions they sued for navigating to the appropriate windows directory and replacing the
'.inf' file.

At this point all of my VM's are unbootable.

Thank you for any assistance.

The issue is within the host, not your guests. The kernel driver should be installed in the HOST.

Have you tried running Disk Utility and doing a Repair Disk Permissions and then re-installing VB?
