Hi there,

I've a Win7 system in virtualbox (hosted on win7 laptop) and I would like to migrate this to a physical hard drive on a HP Proliant server.
I've tried several solutions but none works well : the system don't boot.
1 try - Convertion of virtualbox vdi file to vhd file (with vboxmanage) and restore it to server with vhd2disk => 2 partitions created but unable to boot.
2 try - Ghost of virtualbox disk to image => restore it with ghost to server => idem 2 partitions created but unable to boot.

After each restore, the physical target disk contains 2 partitions (1st little with no drive letter).
What's the problem (MBR ?)
Thanks for your ideas to soluce this !!

P2V, V2V, V2P... you will always encounter the same issues. So any info you can find on any of these three will help with the others.
The issue is with the guest itself, and not with Virtualbox. The first most common issue is that Windows doesn't find its boot disk anymore.

In any case "unable to boot" is not very useful information. The precise symptoms and error codes might be useful.
