Hi guys! New to the forums here and looking forward to posting with you all. I'm having trouble connecting to my VPN through my VM. When I try to connect to the VPN it says "Verifying user name and password..." for about 15 seconds, then it says "port opened", then a few things flash by the screen too quickly to read and it goes back to "Verifying user name and password...". I can connect to the VPN just fine using the host. The VPN settings in both the guest and host are exactly the same and 100% windows default. I just downloaded VirtualBox and just installed the OS on the virtual HD yesterday and have not installed any programs except for guest additions (issue remains with or without that). Firewalls and AV are turned off on the host, if that matters much. I feel like it has something to do with the virtual NIC. I created a brand new VM and brand new virtual hard drive and installed a fresh copy of windows again but got the same issue. Any help would be appreciated!
Host
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 2.78
8gb ram
Geforce 550 TI
Guest
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 2.78
3gb ram
60gb hard drive
Thanks!

Re: VPN Issue
What is the output of the following command on the host (replace VmName by the name of the VM) ran from the Virtualbox install directory :
Code: Select all
vboxmanage showvminfo "VmName" --detailsHyperbox - Virtual Infrastructure Manager - https://apps.kamax.lu/hyperbox/

Re: VPN Issue
Edited your post to add the code markup & avoid the wall of text effect.
You are using NAT, which is really good for "standard use" (web browsing basically) but not for VPN.
Try with Bridged mode on a cabled connection instead
