integrated webcam stop working after starting virtualbox XP

Post by Zahar »

Please help
I have lenovo laptop with integrated webcam OS - Windows Vista. I installed VirtualBox-4.2.16-86992 with Windows XP.
After starting virtualbox and using webcam on the host ( vista) machine - the video is upside down and all pink / green.
Stopping virtualbox application doesn't help. The video is back to normal only after restarting the host machine.
I don't need the webcam on the guest machine and it is not installed on the guest machine.
I just want to be able to keep virtualbox running and have normal video on the host machine.

Thank you !

Make sure you don't have any blank USB filters enabled in the VM settings. If you need a filter, fill in enough fields to match only the device it needs to match.

well I even disabled (unchecked) "Enable USB Controller" in VM settings and it didn't help.

Read Minimum information needed for assistance, and provide the VM log file and VM information as described, ideally packed into a single zip.
