Updating problems

Post by matteboy »

Hi,

I have been using VB on a Win7 host for a while and am trying to update to what appears to be the latest version but I keep getting an error message. Am I doing something stupid?
According to the HELP/ABOUT on the VB Manager I am running V 4.2.6
I m trying to update by clicking the HELP/Check for updates but each time I get an error connection refused message. It tells me to cancel all network operations but when I look at the network manager it says there are no network connections. What am I doing wrong?
I am trying to update as I am having stability issues all of a sudden with VMs constantly shutting down.

Thanks

Matt

Download the new version form VirtualBox Downloads and install as usual.

Does this automatically overwrite the old one? I take it this is the way to do it rather than using an update feature? Thanks for the reply.
