Weird Artifiacts in Win7 64-Bit Guest

Post by CraigW »

Hi All,
I noticed about 2 versions ago, I started getting artifacts running windows 8 Host and windows 7 Guests. Full screen, seamless, windowed, different resolutions it doesn't matter.

I am running a Samsung series 7 Chronos laptop with an Nvidia Optimus Card and Core I7 windows 8 64-Bit 8GB system memory...the guest is windows 7 pro 64-Bit with 4gb guest memory and 256 MB video memory.

It gets to the point of not being able to read the screen anymore, it gets so messed up. Wondering if anyone else has encountered this?

Yes I have the Guest additions with the iCON in the right side with the correct version 4.2.16 I do have the advanced Direct 3d Enabled (but I always have since it was available).

I did notice in this new version windows Aero performance increased from 4.1 to 5.3

thanks in advance
