Hi ALL,
I'm setting up a linux RedHat server running several WIN virtual machine (up to 16) to which users can connect via remote-desktop.
I would like to have a web page showing which virtual machine are already in use and which ones are free for remote desktop connection.
How can i check from server side if a virtual machine is already in control by a user via remote desktop or not?
Thanks, CentemeriM

Rough guess, Virtualbox may not have any way to tell this. Virtualbox only provides the "hardware" for the guests, it doesn't likely know what a guest is doing.
A Google search for "check if a windows PC is logged on" showed some interesting things the guest OS's could do to report in their Event Viewers whether & when they're in use. A vbs script run as a repeating task in the guest could read this info into a text file saved on a shared folder on the host, and the host web page generator could read these status files from the guests to report which VMs are available.

Definitly nothing to do with Virtualbox, this is a guest OS matter and you shouldn't think of Virtualbox making a difference.
