Cannot access guest's server

Hi,

I'm sure I'm the 5000th guy to have trouble setting up a web server...I run an Ubuntu 12.04 LTS server on a VirtualBox-equipped Macbook Air. The server was setup with a LAMP configuration during install phase. Problem is that I cannot access the guest's Apache Server. I setup a Host-Only adapter and I can ping the server successfully from the host with the IP address. Still, I don't get the Apache's default welcome page. I checked the Apache's ports.conf and it reads Listen 80 so it should be accessible this way. Any ideas what is missing?
