Hi Forum,
Vsn 4.2 with guest additions
Host Mac OSX 10.8.4 64 bit 16gb ram 600 gb hd
Guest Windows 8 pro 64 bit 16gb ram 400 gb hd
My issue is related to keyboard input. My Virtualbox recognizes my usb mech keyboard and bluetooth wireless keyboard.
My win8 guest will respond immediately to keyboard inputs during the login screen, then, takes a three second count holding the key to type a character after logging in.

Re: Keyboard Input and Capture win8 guest
you have too much memory assigned to your guest. should be at the most half of the host memory. say 8GB
edit: I just looked at the log and see you actually have 32GBs on the host. not 16GB as posted. So you can ignore my reply.

Re: Keyboard Input and Capture win8 guest
Your issue is typically a guest OS issue. I've already encountered it, personally solved it by changing the power plan settings from Balanced to High Performance and then back.
I am not sure how to handle it in Virtualbox tho, as there is no power management per way. On the other hand, it looked like a typical 2d/3D acceleration issue.

Re: Keyboard Input and Capture win8 guest
Please zip and attach the results of running the "VBoxManage showvminfo" command on the host, as described in this post.
