I want to install VB on a remote host via RDP, i know VB install its own net drivers, will it stop the working LAN connection and putt the host offline? The host is very far way. Using last VB and Windows 7.

Thanks in advance for you input.

It will, but it *should* (I emphasis the should here) reconnect. But alas, if the host has already underlying networking issues that you're not aware of, that could break it.
The other solution is to choose not to install the bridged & host-only type during the installation. That would you would be sure nothing network-based is reseted.

Yes, but i do need to install the bridge networking. Now, what if i get it to auto reboot in 2 minutes just in case the connection doesn't get up again. Will the connection get up after reboot?

Ok, i installed it while having a system restart scheduled in 10 minutes just in case. RDP connection went down, so i finished with teamviewer. But i should have waited to see if the RDP was coming up again. Anyway, uninstalled it and installed it again, this time i waited, RDP never went up again and i had to restart to get VB working :/

Don't know what exactly happened here, but VB is working now 8)

Always handy to have teamviewer on just in case.
