Re: parent folder doesn't exist
Ok. thank you. Didn't see your post before posting mine. I have 2 files: gparted-live-0.14.1-1.iso and gparted-live-0.16.1-1-i486.iso. Chose the first (seemed older and XP is old). Do I click Live CD/DVD? Did as you said and file is on CD under vdi. "Attached to:" is still blank

I'm so tired, I didn't realize It was still running. Shut it down.
Check Live CD/DVD?
Attached to is blank. Click "OK"?

Re: parent folder doesn't exist
I replaced the older gparted with the newer one. Clicked OK with Live CD/DVD left unchecked.
Now when I click System, all the tabs are blank. E.g., Storage shows a completely blank page, as do all the other tabs

I can't close the System page with all the blanks. Whenever I click anything within VB, a horn warning sounds

Re: parent folder doesn't exist
No. On the right side everything except for System up to USB is filled in. I can't scroll past that point. But as I said, I can't click anything,

There doesn't seem to be any option other than force quitting

Re: parent folder doesn't exist
okay well force quit. I have no idea what you did but in four years I've never had VirtualBox lock up. btw, you don't have to wait for an email, you can just refresh your browser page every so often.
