Hi all,

I have searched and searched for an answer to this, but after pulling my hair out for the last week, I am asking for some advice.

I have an XP machine running on my MAC book, which was originally created with a 10GB drive which has now run out of space. I re-sized the drive to 30GB, but for some reason, XP will not recognise the additional space. Machine settings show virtual size of 30GB and actual size of 6.58GB. XP disc manager shows a 9.99GB C drive and a 29.9GB D drive. (D drive is an extension)

The problem I now have is that additional space is not being allocated to the C drive, even though it should have 20GB to play with.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Did you increase the partition size in the guest?

Thanks both - had not seen the bit about not being able to re-size if the VM has snap shots. Have tried to merge, but am getting errors so it looks like a clean re-build is in order.
