How to check RAM usage of guest OS

Post by silver_moon »

I want to know how much of the allocated RAM has the guest OS used up.
Basically want to compare the memory usage of 2 oses.

The VM allocates the configured amount of RAM the moment it starts up. There is no growth phase, and the memory suballocator in the guest OS is not relevant.

Most modern guest OS's will have task monitors which can tell you about memory and other resource consumption, if that's what you want to know.
