can`t launch online games

Hello,
i have on my macbook virtualbox and on vb i hvae windows 7. I launched Windows without problems, and them instaled my online game ( battlefield heroes)
Instalation was succesful but the game didn`t launch. It write: Battlefield heroes stopped working.
Please help me. I need some solution.

In my opinion you need to contact the "Battlefield Heroes" people for support of their software.

I don't know much about Windows but here are the minimum requirements...
Code: Select all
Operating system: Windows XP or Windows Vista
CPU: Intel Pentium 4/AMD Athlon 1.0 GHz
RAM: 512 MB (1Gb on Windows Vista)
Video Card: 64MB DirectX compliant video card, Pixel shader 2.0 and above. (AGP and PCIe only)
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible
Hard Drive space: 1Gb of space is required to install the game
Internet connection: 256kbit Cable/DSL connection
I don't know if the WDDM driver is compatible with DirectX or even if the guest additions are installed but maybe it's something to look at.

macbook which i have, should be able without problems play BFH. I really dont know what did you speak about. whats WDDM?

WDDM is the VBox video driver that is installed with the guest additions. You did install the guest additions?

you don't download it. when the the Windows 7 guest is running, select devices>install guest additions... you should read the manual on how to install guest additions.

i already instaled guest addition and direct x too but nothing. You play online games on VB? Which drivers did you instal on windows?

I don't play online games in anything but when I install the guest additions for W7 I check the directx box and when the dialog comes up asking if I want to add DirectX instead, I click no.

Virtualbox is not meant to run games, and is not optimized for such a task. Therefore, do not expect a game to work in it.
If it does, you are really lucky, but not working is the norm for this, even with Guest Additions and what not.

I advice to ask for help to the gaming services. For installation problem you need to consult the experts or distributors of the games.
