I am pleased to learn that you were not intending to be arrogant.

Read through it again. Until you advised me to read the manual, which turned out to be the opposite of helpful, I was falling over myself with gratitude and humility. If you read what the manual has to say about shared folders, perhaps you will see why I am saying that the manual was not helpful for my very simple needs. But perhaps not.

Your general advice was extremely helpful: create shared folders, copy your Paradox files to a shared folder, run the installation from the shared folder. But it took me many hours to figure out the mechanics of how to follow this advice.

As I say, I know nothing about who you are, except that you are called a moderator here. I am inclined to attribute the fact that you cannot even conceive that anything you wrote to me could be construed as arrogant to a general geekiness. But this is nutty on my part also. I came here, you helped me out for free, I eventually solved my problem, I am greatly relieved.

I think the solution would be to have some links that go through, step-by-step, how to create shared folders, for example. Things that seem obvious to people who are already familiar with virtual machines and the workings of Virtualbox are just not obvious to the complete novice.

I think we can safely say that this topic can now be considered as solved, and to prevent anyone interfering further with it, it is time to lock it.
Better to keep it at that :)
