Video/screen issue after install Logmein

Hi there,
A couple of weeks back I installed Logmein on my W7 guest, which has messed up the video display somehow.

- screenshot issue

Since then I've uninstalled Logmein and installed last weeks VB update, in the hope that this would solve the issue, but no luck. As an extra, the guest additions won't install now.
I've had this issue before, say 6 months back or so. It started after a VB update back then - before the update, Logmein ran just fine on the guest. Not really looking forward to having to do complete reinstall and setup againg, so I hope anybody can help.
Enclosed are a screenshot and a logfile.
VB version 4.2.14 r86644
Mac OSX 10.8.4 host, Windows 7 guest
Thanks in advance.

You could try updating your GAs, which I see are still at v4.2.10. This should also correct anything disturbed by the Logmein install.

So it doesn't look like that is going to work. What happens if you try to re-install the version of VB you were using before you upgraded it six months ago?

(Sorry for the late response - was waiting for a mail notification that never came, forgot to mark the notification option.)

I never made the link between the issue and the guest additions, my apologies
Since the GA install wouldn't run automatically (I thought it always did?), I went to the C-drive and removed the 4.2.10 version, and then to the E-drive with the 4.2.14 install package and ran it from there.
That seems to have solved the problem. I also reinstalled Logmein to see if it would mess up things again, it hasn't.
So thanks for thinking along!

The GAs include a display driver, which I guessed might have been disturbed somehow by LogMeIn or something else.

No, all that "Install Guest Additions" does is mount a virtual CD in the drive. On an OS which has autorun enabled (e.g. XP) then the new CD would be detected and the installer would run. The menu item was named at a time when autorun was typical behaviour. However in Win7 autorun was disabled by default for security reasons, so you have to run the installer manually.

OK, thanks for the explanation.
