Working with differencing Disk

Post by wilgin »

hello to all,
i installed a new Windows 2008 Server on VirtualBox 4.2.12r86644 and prepard the Installation with sysprep. then i mark the disk as immutable.

then i create a new Server and attach the immutable disk. when i start the machine, a snapshot disk will be generate automaticlly. but when i shutdown the machine, all changes are lost ... when i start the machine the snapshot disk is empty.

how can i save the snapshot disk?

i should install 5-10 virtual machines with the same configuration. but (when it´s possible) i don´t want to copy the masterdisk x times.

(no discussion about Performance  ... i should configure a "Little" Cluster in a lab to get a look&feel for all Settings)

best regards
Wilfried
