How to change size of live preview pane?

Hello friens of Virtualbox,

I really like the preview pane of the current VirtualBox Gui.
But I would like to have it bigger, lets say 640x480 or half of that.

Any chance to configure that by any means except working on the sourcecode?
I suspected .VirtualBox xml file:

<ExtraDataItem name="GUI/SplitterSizes" value="435,1479"/>

but its values look not meaningful in this regard.

I'm using VirtualBox 4.2.10 on Ubuntu as well as 4.2.10 and later on Windows hosts.

Any suggestions? Thank you.

AFAIK the preview windows is a fixed size and the only way to change it is in the source and to compile yourself.
