VirtualBox 4.2.14 crash in VBoxRT.dll 0x80000003

Post by philippp »

Hello,

running VirtualBox 4.2.14 r86644 on Windows SBS Essentials 2011, my virtualBox crashes about once a day at no specific time. In the VM list, the machine has the red no-entry sign and appears as stopped.
It also happened with the previous version of virtualBox.

Windows eventlog says:

Code: Select all

Name der fehlerhaften Anwendung: VirtualBox.exe, Version: 4.2.14.0, Zeitstempel: 0x51c45cbc
Name des fehlerhaften Moduls: VBoxRT.dll, Version: 0.0.0.0, Zeitstempel: 0x51c45c6f
Ausnahmecode: 0x80000003
Fehleroffset: 0x0000000000039044
Hardware: Fujitsu MX130 S2 mini server with AMD Athlon II X2 265 3.3 GHz, 4GB RAM
I just did a BIOS update on the host, did not resolve the issue.

Guest is WinXP, guest extensions installed.
Machine config, other than default: USB disabled, clipboard and drag-n-drop both bi-directional.
I already excluded the vm directory in my antivirus.
VM1-2013-06-24-09-33-45.zip
virtualbox release log
(10.67 KiB) Downloaded 70 times
Any ideas what I could do or how I can further diagnose this?

Thanks and kind regards,
Philipp

4.2.16 has been running fine all the time, so obviously this was fixed - I guess it was the CD-ROM related issue mentioned in the release log.

Thanks!
