Installing Backtracker 5 (Error)
When installing backtracker in Virtual Box, it came up with a error and told me to put the error on community however the chat isnt letting me do it, it says "A crticial error has occured while running the virtual machine and the macine execution has been stopped" .
When closing the machine it said "unable to allocate the lock (something)" this is the first time ive used backtrack so have no idea of this error if anyone has any help, please send me a message through this site or contact me for email, also on the picture in logs it showed it stopped at 15% instillation (copying files) if thats any help.
help much appreciated, thanks alot.

Not without the "exact error" and log file.

Re: Installing Backtracker 5 (Error)
It says the picture of the instillation at 15% is too big to upload, do you want me to just read what it says on the picture? "Instillation, copying file, 15%"

Re: Installing Backtracker 5 (Error)
00:00:06.812683 Host RAM: 1923MB total, 948MB available
00:00:06.943005 RamSize <integer> = 0x000000004c000000 (1 275 068 416, 1 216 MB)
00:02:53.676721 VM: Raising runtime error 'HostMemoryLow' (fFlags=0x2)
You are assigning more memory than you have available. You might get it to work using 512MB, but expect it to be slow.
Best to add more RAM to the host.

Re: Installing Backtracker 5 (Error)
It means exactly what it says. You need to re-create and use a larger size for the virtual HDD.
Assuming the hosts drive has ample spare drive space, I would create with a size of at least 15GB, dynamic.
