Hello,
any time i try to copy anything of significant size (eg 500MB) my fedora 14 VM throws up an error part way through the copy. A quick look at the log (attached) indicates a memory issue: "VM runtime error: fatal=false, errorID=HostMemoryLow message="Unable to allocate and lock memory.", but I'm not sure how to resolve the problem. I have plenty of RAM in my host machine (Win 7 with 6GB RAM and less than half that in use ) and when setting up the VM chose 2048MB base memory. However if I bring up the windows task manager while doing the copy in Fedora I do see the 'Free' memory going to zero, while the 'Available' memory sits around 2Gb.
Any help appreciated.
ps: although this error is 'non-fatal' there's no way forward from it since VM is the only running application so I cannot take the recommended action of closing other applications.

Re: critical error when copying large files
Moved to "Windows Hosts".
I think you should raise a bugtracker ticket for this one, as I can't see that you've done anything wrong.

Done. I was debating whether this belonged in the 'Windows Hosts' forum, thanks.
