Error: Ubuntu VM is Inaccessible.

Hello everyone,
I am having troubles with my Ubuntu MV, and I'm not skilled enough as to solve them by myself. So, I might ask for help here.
Here is the problem.
In a rush not to miss a bus, I've put my laptop on sleep without closing or freezing the VM. The day after, at reopening, the Ubuntu VM was stuck. Since it did'nt respond to close commands, I've forced Virtualbox to close, through the Windows processes management. So, at next start of Virtualbox, Ubuntu VM is not able to start, and I get this error message (originally in italian, sorry, I'll try to translate):
Selected Virtual Machine is INACCESSIBLE.
Runtime error opening 'C:\Users\Sorriso\VirtualBox VMs\UBUNTU-12.04.1-64\UBUNTU-12.04.1-64.vbox' for reading: -102 (File not found.).
D:\tinderbox\win-4.2\src\VBox\Main\src-server\MachineImpl.cpp[724] (long __cdecl Machine::registeredInit(void)).
Exit code: E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component: Machine
Interface: IMachine {22781af3-1c96-4126-9edf-67a020e0e858}
So I'm stuck and can't use Ubuntu VM.
Any suggestions, anyone?
Thanks in advance,
Luca
