Guru Meditation on Win7 x64 host, Xubuntu x64 guest

Post by DanL856 »

I'm running VirtualBox 4.2.12 on Windows 7 (x64), and was using a 64-bit Xubuntu guest for a while with no problems. I also had a guest running CentOS 5. When I turned on my machine this morning, I got a guru meditation error on both machines.

Any ideas?
  • VirtualBox 4.2.12
  • Guest add-ons installed and up-to-date on both
  • Host and guests are all 64-bit
  • Host has 16Gb RAM, Xubuntu guest has 8Gb assigned, CentOS has 3Gb assigned
  • Logs from both guests attached

After doing the old Windows standby of restarting the computer, it works fine.

It means something else is already using VT-x.
