Hello everybody
I am trying to run Window 7 guest on my Windows 7 host machine in headless mode. This works great so far. I can start the VM in headless mode by holding down SHIFT key when starting the machine from the GUI. So far so good.
Unfortunately I can't access the machine via Remote Desktop Client. It complains with the following message:
"Für den Computer konnte keine Verbindung mit einer anderen Konsolensitzung auf dem Remotecomputer hergestellt werden, da bereits eine Konsolensitzung aktiv ist"
Which basically means: Establishing a connection is not possible as there is already a console session open.
What am I doing wrong here?
Thanks in advance

Re: Can't connect to headless machine via RDP
Most likely, you're conflicting with the RDP of your host, or you try to connect to the guest with the /console option, where you shouldn't.
A bit more context would help : what networking mode is the guest issuing, which IP are you trying to use, etc.
Or maybe you're trying to use the VRDE server? In which case I would make sure it's not set to use 3389, where it would definitly conflict with your host RDP.

Thanks for replying. That solved the issue. I have now changed the port to 3400/tcp...
