Hello all,
I have installed VirtualBox and I able to click on new and set up a virtual machine but when I click on start my computer crashes. So to be clear I have not installed the virtual OS and it is not crashing in the virtual environment.
I get the following blue crash screen info:
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval.
If this is the first time you've seen this stop screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps.....
When I restart after this I do not see the message again as directly after or just prior to the prompt for my password I get a black screen and nothing else. I have used system restore to go back to a point before VirtualBox was installed and tried again with the same result.
Have I gotten the wrong version?
Has anyone seen this and subsequently solved the issue? How?

Re: Crashes
Since you provide no version information it is impossible to answer that question.CleanFan wrote:Have I gotten the wrong version?
In fact you haven't provided much information at all. Please read Minimum information needed for assistance. A VM log file would be particularly useful.
