Mouse Capture Not Working Properly
Posted: 8. Jun 2013, 21:46
Hello
I am running Virtual Box 4.2.12 and I have had this problem for the past couple of years but whenever I run a Linux guest (it doesn't seem to matter which one, I tried Ubuntu, Linux Mint, CentOS, Debian) the mouse capture doesnt really work properly. What happens is that the guest pointer thinks it has reached the edge of the guest screen but is really only at the middle. When the guest pointer reaches this part of the screen, my host pointer becomes active.
The result is that I am unable to reach the top of the guest screen to close, minimize windows, or use the top menu bar for Applications, System, Help because the guest pointer cannot go there and instead activates my host pointer when I try to reach that part of the screen.
What am I doing wrong?
Guest addition has not been installed but problem remains when I do install it.
Absolute pointer is disabled by default in guest settings
This problem does not happen with Windows guests.
Please help!
I tried googling the solution but every solution says to uninstall guest additions and disable mouse integration in guest settings but this does not apply in my case.
Thanks!
