Increase video memory win 7/64 host ubuntu guest

I have used VirtualBox to capture Pet Society. It is a flash based facebook game by playfish. The box did a great job capturing holding, etc. The problem i am having is the game is running very slowly now. I have the virtualbox set for 128mb of video memory but am thinking if it were doubled it would do ok, so first question is: Is there a way to allocate more than 128 the box allows me to allocate? Second question, more difficult, Down the road is it possible to transfer the contents of a virtualbox to a different box on another computer?
Thanks up front for everyone's time.
Peace-
Stu

Which version of VBOX is installed? With newest versions and activated 3d you can set up to 256 MB VRAM.

Your 2. question: Do you have snapshots? If not, copy the vdi file from host to host. Create on the other host a new guest pointing to the copied vdi-file.

I am using 4.2.12 I tried changing the vbox config file to 256 and it wouldn't start. in fact it would only start when i set the file back to 63 mb. This is running pathetically slow. I have saved a FB game and I might as well not have spent 4 hours walking the pet around town and going through his mansion wardrobe and inventory chest, it is so slow as to not really be worth opening, I am hoping the increase in video memory will help. How do you suggest I get it to run at 256?

Also I have both snapshots (8 of them) and vdi also. the vdi is 6.7 gb and the snapshots run from 7 mb to 230 mb. I am hoping that an increase in video memory will allow the game to play at regular speeds. i am thinking bout creating a new machine with maybe 10 gb to allow a bigger swap file for what I have now...
Maybe that would help speed also.

Dont think with more VRAM games runs as fast as on the host.

A VM is not made for gaming.

I checked it on my host, too. The 256 MB RAM is possible for Windows Guests with WDDM Driver.

For linux guests there are 128 MB. As i said: 3D must be enabled, guest additions must be installed.

And then it works or not.

If not, then install linux native.

Thanks that is good to know I have an ubuntu guest so i will add guest additions. I had read it only gives 128. I have a netbook running ubuntu and I guess I couldn do this there and then put the ubuntu on a diff machine and transfer the vdi and snapshots. Do you think it may need more swap file in the guest?
