Import files from host to guest

Post by M.Fazel »

Hi all,
Is it possible to import files from host to guest at the run time and let guest run those files?

You can use shared folder, or any regular way you would copy files between two physical computers.

at the run time, if the content of share folder has changed does it occur in the guest also?

And then how can we inform the VM than for example one the other file is added in the share directory?

That is not a feature provided by VirtualBox. That would be something your software or guest OS would concern itself with. VirtualBox simulates hardware.

Is there any approach for allocating dynamic virtual memory like VCPUs that we can add or remove virtual memory?

No, but you can do memory ballooning - see user manual.
