Dir is a windows command. The guest additions are installed in the guest from the guest.

Sigh.. I know that. What I'm trying to doing is exactly installing guest additions from the guest, the fact is that is not working..
The command "dir" is working on ubuntu too . I know wich one is the Window's terminal and wich one is the VBox Guest's terminal.
ubuntu's terminal on vbox:
the "dir" command is equivalent to "ls". the only difference is that "ls" has colored output here.
This still does not solve the problem. Solutions?
P.S.
Have anyone tried to install Ubuntu 12/13 ( i tried both) on Windows Vista with VirtualBox 4.2.12 to see if this is only a problem of mine?

Just for the sake of knowledge, if anyone is getting my same problems:
I fixed all by installing virtual box 4.2.10. and by removing Vbox 4.2.12.
EDIT:
Vbox 4.2.10 :
http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualb ... 05-Win.exe
GuestAdditions 4.2.10:
http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualb ... 4.2.10.iso
to check download integrity checksums are here:
