Mozilla Firefox wont let me type on search bar?

Post by Hello1654 »

When I use Firefox on the Windows VM’s for a few minutes and then I switch back to the Host and tried to use Firefox it won’t let me type anything on the browser I can paste to the search bar and search like that but that is it. I believe that is a conflict with the browser on the VM machine the weird part is that Firefox on the VM’s never have this issue!! This is been happening for about 3 months now at first this only happened once I a while but know it happens every time I use Firefox on the VM’s it leaves Firefox on the host unusable until I reboot my host!! I tried uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling it but that didn’t fix the issue the only way to get Firefox to work on the host is by rebooting the Host machine.
I hope someone can give me some insight on this issue because it’s very annoying
Thanks.

Windows 8 is my Host and i'm running Wins 7 and 8 as Guest.

Please read Minimum information needed for assistance.

Out of my head, I would guess the guest is still capturing your keyboard, even tho it shouldn't with Windows - the release should be automatic. Could you press the host key (usually your right Ctrl key) before switching back to the host and try again?
