Hello all, I have a question about extending the Hard Disk on a Linked Clone's VDI.
The original VM (Windows Server 2012 SP1 x64) was built to my spec, then I created linked clones from that server. As it turns out, I need more space on a particular linked clone than the rest. Is there a (good) way to extend a linked clone's hard disk? Normally, it doesn't seem like this would be an issue, but the hard disk in the storage view is that of the original VM. Do I just have to extend the original VM's hard disk and have that apply to all the linked clones or is there a way to just extend the one clone?
Thanks!

I personally never tried, but you would need to do it on the particular differential image of that particular linked clone, not to the base image!

Re: Extend Linked Clone VDI
VBoxManage will not allow you to resize a differenced disk image (which includes linked clones, snapshots etc). You should first create a full clone of the linked clone, then you can easily resize the full clone and delete the old linked clone.
In general, if you want the ability to treat VMs independantly, then make them actually independant.
