hello
my scenario: normal virtualbox(the program) starts in about 20 seconds, getting in any virtual machine settings.. about 5 seconds; when starting a virtual machine my system freezes for 5 seconds or so, same when starting the program;
so.. i found a solution.. disable(rename the file) VBoxTestOGL.exe: virtual box program starts in 1-2 seconds; the settings are snappy; the machine starts fast; drawback.. no video acceleration; colors seem like 256 color scheme even after selecting 32 bits
now: why doesn't this VBoxTestOGL.exe program runs just once at install time; detect OGL settings .. writes a config.. and everyone is happy?? why does it run every time???.. with these performance issues??? some manual about VBoxTestOGL.exe would be nice to find...
how can VBoxTestOGL.exe be bypassed.. so that acceleration be in working conditions???
ty
*edit:
got it bypassed; seems all it needs is a program that returns 0 as a result;
my platform: laptop windows xp sp3; intel dualcore 2GB RAM; virtual machines are configured appropriately for optimal performance
disable VBoxTestOGL.exe info
