Host OS - Win8
Virtualbox version: 4.2.12
Guest OS's -
first Server: 2008 standard
second server cloned from first with with 'reinitialize MAC address' option, then name changed
Firewalls dropped on both guests, and both guests can see the internet just fine.
Neither guests nor hosts can ping each other.
Tried Bridged, Internal, Hosts etc for virtual NIC settings with no success. Also installed guest additions, but it didn't help. Tried DHCP, static IP's....running out of ideas.
guest OSs can't ping each other

Re: guest OSs can't ping each other
If both guests can see the internet in bridged mode then VirtualBox networking is working - and ping failure must have some other cause, such as being firewalled (despite what you say to the contrary). Win7 and later I believe disable ping response by default, to maintain privacy and prevent phishing.
