Ubuntu 12.04.2 on Virtualbox 4.2.12 with G.A 4.2.12

Hallo Guys!
I was crawling around the web and trying different stuff for this setup in order to get 3D support in Guest Ubuntu 12.04.2 with Guest Additions 4.2.12
I made a post in ubuntuforums under virtualisation topic with different setups (I used VB 4.2.12 and 4.2.10 with corresponding Guest Additions), result stays the same, no 3D support
Thread is here: go to ubuntuforums dot org and after slash add this showthread.php?t=2142041
(I can't post links yet, registered today, but have to be a member at lest 1 day

)
Please someone help me... I like VirtualBox, I prefer it to VMware Player, but I just can't get VB to work. I am just frustrated already... Why VMware Player has everything working out of the box but VB does not...
What do you want me to give you in order to help me?

What is the host?
Post the guests log file (as an attachment)
As well as
From the hosts terminal/command window type VBoxManage showvminfo <VM Name> --details and post here. Replace <VM Name> with the actual name of the VM. Use " " if the name has a space in it.
Note if the host is Windows you need to be in the directory that has VBoxManage.exe for the command to work.
Also the exact results of the following two commands from the guests terminal
uname -a
cat /etc/issue

3D Acceleration: off
You first need to enable 3D in the guest settings. It is disabled by default

turn the 3D on again and start the guest. Post the guests log after you have your black screen. (as an attachment)
Did you really install kernels and xorg for quantal in your precise build?

Hallo!
Attaching VBox.log with 3D enabled
I did not install anything... made fresh install
then
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
then reboot and
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
then reboot again and
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install dkms build-essential linux-headers-$(uname -r)
After all this HOST+D and install Guest Additions 4.2.12 (Succesfully) -> reboot and system not usable with 3D enabled, even if to login to Unity 2D (with 3D disabled it all works)
