Hi,

I have a little problem using proxmox on virtualbox 4.2.1.
I want to test multicast and it does,'t work.
I configure network configuration with :
Internal network
Name : intnet
Promiscuous mode : allow all

And when I test omping on my guests, it doesn't work.
DO you know where I can find log or anything that can help me?
I'm on mac OS 10.7.5.

Do not cross post, I have removed your post from "Using Virtualbox" for now.
Multicast is a pretty advanced networking subject, so this would be quite a difficult thing to debug.

You could attach the VM log files asell as the guest configuration, for all your concerned VMs. See this post for location of files and information. Be sure to attach as a zip file the outputs.

Do you know where are logs for VirtualBox on my mac if it can help you and me?

You did not provide the VM log file, or all the informations in the topic I have linked to you. I am most interested into the VB version, guest OS, etc.

I see that your VMs are in bridged mode and not in internal mode like you claim. What else changes?

Most likely your networking setup must not be right, or firewalls are in the way. You need to check that but until you provide me the information I asked.

Virtual box : Version 4.2.12 r84980 (it's the latest version)

I changed settings for VMs :
I use the same internal network in both VMs.
My VMs can ping both by name and IP but when I test omping (check multicast), it does'nt work.
OS : Proxmox 2.3 based on Debian and doesn't integrate a firewall

Well all seems fine with the VM and the config seems proper, nothing in the logs. You also tell me that a regular ping work, so it's not a communication problem and so not a Virtualbox problem.
The only issue is that Proxmox is not a supported Virtualbox OS guest, so there is no way to tell how it's reacting to it.

As I said earlier, multicast a pretty advanced networking topic and most likely your config is just not right.
If you're not very technical with networking, I suggest you read up on it. If you are technical and you think this is actually a bug in Virtualbox anc can back it up, feel free to head to the Bugtracker.
