Hi,
Im running Virtual Box 4.2.12 r84980 on Mac OS X 10.8.3. I installed Debian 6 as VM in virtualbox, everythings works fine when my network is on NAT mode, but when i set it to bridged adapter mode it can ping and access all IP in the network except the gateway ip(192.168.1.1) hence, i can't use the internet. i tried to remove the gateway, but still the same, i tried to use static IP same thing.
Here's a screenshot of my network settings in virtual box.

Re: Bridged adapter can't ping gateway
Then most likely your issue is with your gateway or guest config, not with Virtualbox, else you wouldn't be able to ping anything.
