Dear All,
I'm suffering a bug of Virtualbox since Version 2.xx on Windows XP. Currently I'm running Windows 7 (including all patches) and VB 4.2.12.
Let's describe the bug: I'm using always an USB headset on my Host Operating System where VB runs. In case that I'm running any application that plays sound (browser with youtube, mediaplayer/vlc/..., any kind of games, ...) VB does not start. So I fire up the task manager and the VBoxSVC.exe fills up one of my CPU cores with full load. If I kill this service via the task manager I get a critical error: "Callee RC: CO_E_SERVER_EXEC_FAILURE (0x80080005)". If I stop playing music (I do not need to close the application with sound, just need to press stop) or disconnect my USB headset, then VB starts as it should.
What can I do to help to resolve this issue?
Regards

Re: Virtualbox does not start when Sound is played back
It is a long time issue. Anything with sound & USB will not work - see https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/9786 & https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/11215 (among others)
