Host-Only Network Address Changed with Upgrade

The Host-Only Ethernet Adapter address continues to change every time I upgrade VirtualBox. I did a search for past posts and find some from quite some time ago about this but did not find a solution.

Is there a way to tell VirtualBox to not mess with a manually configured Host-Only address when applying VirtualBox upgrades?

I'm currently using 4.2.12r84980.

To whom it may concern:

Any chance of ever getting the upgrade installs to stop messing with the Host Only network address assignments?

Just upgraded today and it changed them again. Is that something that might be on a development list?

I guess all you can do is add yourself to ticket #9274. You can also try out the new v4.3 beta, and if it still happens there then raise the matter in a beta testers forum discussion.
