CentOS Window too large

I installed an appliance (PIAF-Purple) running under CentOS 6.3
It starts up fine in my Windows 7 host but the console window is too high (too many lines) for my screen and I have to keep scrolling.
I need to shorten it by about 6 lines.
How can I adjust this?
Thanks

Change the resolution in the guest.

How do you do that?
I know how to do that in Windows but not in CentOS.
I was not aware that the Console had a resolution to change.

Did you install the guest additions? See Guest Additions chapter of user manual if not. After that simply dragging the window border will change the guest display size.

I started to do that but then spotted an option on VB "Switch to Scale mode". That shrinks the window quite small but I can then drag the edge to the max that will fit.
I did not finish the install of guest additions as I do not see any significant benefit in a text based interface.
Thanks for the suggestion.

If you are running a text based guest with no X, you need to set the guests framebuffer to the size you want it to be.

After some trial and error (breaking the boot in the process) I set vga= in grub.conf to 876 and it is now a confortable size - small window and large characters.
Thank you
