4.2.12 Windows 7 Pro client hang

This is my first post, so please assist me if I haven't followed protocol correctly.

Host: Mac OSX 10.8.3, Vbox 4.2.12, Bridged LAN; Guest: Win7 Pro 32 bit SP1 + 4.2.12 Guest Additions”.
I have been running earlier versions of VB for some time with no problems, mostly with a Win7Pro client, although very occasionally with an XPP client. Recently the Win7 client began hanging intermittently, seemingly after upgrading to VB 4.2.12; the only option that works to remedy the hang is to power off or reset the machine, nothing at all within Win7 responds after the hang until it is restarted. No VB or client errors are reported. About the only change I have made recently is to change the network configuration from NAT to Bridge mode to allow me to directly access remote devices during configuration. I haven't been able to narrow down any factors that contribute to, or cause, the machine to hang. At times the machine runs for a number of hours before hanging, and at other times only 10 - 15 minutes. I regularly use the client to run Quickbooks software, which is therefore often open when the hang occurs, however the client also hangs when no software (other than background NOD32 V6 AV etc) is open.

After reading the minimum requirements, I am not sure what further information I need to post? Perhaps you mean the guest log file?

I had already read the forum posting guide, and searched the forums as best as I could, but without finding an answer to my particular problem. Perhaps someone could help this newbie by pointing me in the right direction if I have missed something?

As previously posted:
Host: Mac OSX 10.8.3, Vbox 4.2.12, Bridged LAN; Guest: Win7 Pro 32 bit SP1 + 4.2.12 Guest Additions”.

Guest log file attached

I have unistalled Eset NOD32 AV since my first post to see if that was causing the hang, however the guest still hangs.

Any assistance would be most appreciated :D

Nothing shows up in the log indeed. My first guest would be to make sure you're not running out of RAM in the guest itself.

You are not specific about what things you tried within the guest after the hang. For example, what happens if you try to bring up the task manager, to see what process might be hogging the CPU or network/disk bandwidth? (You must use the Machine|Insert Ctrl-Alt-Del VM menu item to bring up the guest task manager).

It appears the problem has been resolved after uninstalling ESET antivirus software. The machine has been running since my last post without any further hangs. Thanks to those who offered assistance.
