Hi,
I am just start using VBox 4.2.12 in Win7 Host and I have a newbie's question. I have managed to create a Ubuntu Guest VM.
However, it creates the VM in the "C:\Users\<User-Name>\VirtualBox VMs" directory, the VBox prefer. I have managed after creation to follow the official way to move this VM to a different drive as that drive is quite full.
My question is: Is it possible during creation to specify the target location for the new VM thereby without the need to relocate them?
I have used VMPlayer extensively and while they also have the 'preferred' location for a VM, it does offer the user the chance to specify an alternate location.
Thanks.
Rover

When creating go slow and read. You always have the option to select a different location for the guest.
If you want to use a different location by default you simply change the default location in the preferences.
