Tabbing between guest and host

Hi

I was wondering whether there exist an easy way to switch between a windows 8 host and a linux mint guest.

alt+tab works from host to guest, but when I'm in the linux guest alt+tab just switches between the applications in the guest.

What do you guys do?

Have you installed guest additions for you Linux guest?

Anyway, when the keyboard is captured by VirtualBox, the keyboard events are sent to the guest, so in-order to "alt-tab" back to the host windows, you'd have to first release the keyboard and then alt-tab.

This can be done by (right-ctrl then alt-tab) (assuming your host key is still right-ctrl which is the default on most platforms).
