(Solved) Increase Video RAM?
Is there a way to increase video ram beyond the limits set in the VBox preferences? The reason I ask is because I had/have a few Linux guests that randomly abort in full screen with video ram set to 128MB but run just fine in windowed mode with 1600x1200 resolution or less. I just thought I would see if it helps.

Code: Select all
VBoxManage modifyvm <guest name> --vram 256-

Re: Increase Video RAM?
thank you Perry. I just figured out that isn't my problem however. It turns out the issue was, at least with Ubuntu Gnome 13.04 (Gnome 3.8.1), When in windowed mode say at 1600x1200 things worked fine. If I switched to full screen, it draws in full screen but apparently Ubuntu doesn't know it's no longer 1600x1200 so if I tried to add an app to favorites it would abort. If I open the Display settings and click on apply so it knows I'm now in 2560x1440, everything is fine and it doesn't abort anymore. Strange.Perryg wrote:Sure is.Code: Select all
